Description I got lazy with coloring as I went on. Can you see with the headpiece?
Saw this fantastical Erte piece that started it all.
Look and be amazed: [link]

And I apologize for the weird...eyeballs. Yeesh.

I thought that swing was a stripper pole at first /shot.

The peacock train is a little overdone, but it's a cute burlesque piece nonetheless~

This is absolutely stunning. The colours are amazing! Would you mind telling me exactly what Faber Castelle markers you use?
Thank you very much, you are very talented (:

I love how flamboyant this one looks, like something between a butterfly and a swan. Love how it exudes happiness, in an almost alien way, and her smile and the eyes you said looked weird just enhances that. It's a marvelous work, and I think you colored it just fine.

This beautiful, it would be amazing in physical form, especially if it had real feathers.I linked to the piece of art that you got the idea from, but I like your blue one better.

Oh really now?
Erte's ostrich feather costume is definitely more viable though.
I'm not sure what random pattern things on the bottom of the train translate into feathers very well. Thanks.

Oh, sorry if they weren't feathers

Ah, no, if you saw feathers, then feathers it is! It's just a conceptual piece- if you saw feathers, then that's your interpretation of it. Though yes, they do rather look like feathers. XD

Ok, I was worried. I thought I offended you. Feathers or not, its still a great design!

Ah, no, I looked back at my post and I noticed how cold I sounded. So sorry, I didn't mean to sound like an offended butthole. DX

I love everything about this, I also agree it reminds me of a peacock. Which makes it even more amazing, I looovve peacocks. You should do a mini collection with this one and "petals" I'd love to see more like this!

Funny you should mention a collection. First stages were just a bunch of designs with the idea of a "striped circus" in them...

Loving the headpiece!!

this whole drawing looks beautiful! Dunno if your colour lazyness affects the skin as well, but I'd like to add that I love the fact she's in white

Cardboard-Octopus In reply to ArticGladiolus [2011-05-22 06:11:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks.

Ah, that's only because I don't have a marker for skin tone, so. It's pasty white.
I guess I could've done it in colored pencil, but yeah. I guess laziness did affect the skin as well.
Got me. ((shot))

xD I got you. But no worries, it looks good like this. I think that in this case, the skin tone would have toned down the effect of this piece

Oh gosh the movement in this. It's just great.

I'm loving the color choice, the warm grey looks really great next to all the blue hues. :3

Great work!

Ah, I'm no good with movement//dynamic poses and this is pretty...sedentary as well.

Thank you though.

I like it because there's nice movement in the way you've composed the picture. Should've specified. It's a very dynamic picture. c:
