No need to say it. I know this isn't what most people consider a "real" razor blade. I was bored and it's just what I could find at the moment.Related content

An issue close to many peoples hearts. I believe there is no "real" razor blade... Just the stereotypical razor blade.

I really like this.. I try to tell my fiancee I don't think he can stop me but he says he will and he does try.
Thats the kind of blade I use. How is there a "real" Razor blade?

Thank you.
To most people, a "real razor blade" is a double sided blade..usually used to scrape paint.

What's fake is pretending that everything is okay (there's a difference between pretending and believing). The emotion and the pain is real. I could go on, but I won't, since others have thoroughly explained it. Suffice it to say that this is one of the areas people should never joke about in my presence.
Great photo, btw. If you've sparked controversy, congratulations: you've struck a chord and forced people to face a real issue.

Moving photo; a sentiment that is too true.
I also agree with what ~Gentleman-Status said about "fake". People saying that's not a "real" blade; they're stupid, they don't know what it's like. A box full of sharp objects is just that - sharp objects. Not necessarily what they think. I also hate inconsiderate people who are rude about self-harm. Hate it. Them, whatever.
Sorry, I rambled too much.

It's one of the (several) things that made me realise that I don't actually like the majority of my so-called friends any more. It's always "Oh, I'm /so/ depressed. Slitslitslit" and stuff like that. My best friend and I, we both struggle(d) with it (I'm still struggling, she's stopped). We just have to sit there and pretend we're okay with it. One girl said "People just do that for attention". Urgh.
Again, rambling, sorry. :/

And yeah, trying to stop is hard but good on you for trying.

Fake. I hate when people say things like that. Half the people I see walking around in their brown shoes with no socks, dressed in their kahki shorts and their Polo shirts, have smiles and attitudes that are so overpracticed that it turns my brain inside out FIRST, and THEN to mush faster than watching a reality TV show about people with lots of money who do nothing with their lives. Half of them have handshakes that couldn't crush a gummybear. *smirks*
And you're quite welcome. ^_~

Yeahh. And the most of the kids who've bitched me out have never even held a blade before. They've just seen pictures and know people who cut. People now days think that EVERYONE'S a fake.

Gentleman-Status In reply to Cargbrock [2011-03-07 21:42:11 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, they think it's fake until they get to school one day and find out that one of their classmates opened themselves up and won't be going back to school, or back to anywhere, anymore. At least not until they reincarnate (but that's my personal belief, could go back and forth on that one for hours, I'm sure).
However, also keep in mind that, even if some kids at school DON'T think it's fake, they say that, because they don't know how to identify with it, even if they want to, and it makes them uncomfortable, even if they might want to help someone. And then there's peer pressure, which can also be a huge factor. That's people in general, but it's more prevalent during adolescent years, it seems.
I've had some...experiences with things like that, but I don't think they'd do well in a public comment box.
In any case, nobody deserves to be bitched at for being themselves. That's akin to racism and ethnocentrism.

We all know that, that kind of thing breeds bullies, of course. Of course, you're right. If half the people on this rock would think before they opened their traps, the world would be a much nicer place in which to live. *grins* Also, more boring! XD

Boring would DEFINITELY suck. I mean, could you imagine if everyone got along? No more talk shows with people hitting each other over the head with chairs! ... Oh wait, I don't have a television by choice, because of that kind of stuff. Instead, if I have a craving for it, there's...(drum roll)...The Net.
Whatever would I do if I didn't get to have a row with people calling me a Satanist? *laughs* And shouting, "I fucking hate goth people!" when I walk down the street? ^_^ Things like walking down the street with my mom (who I shall point out, has blue hair) and someone giving me a dirty stare, and me saying, "Can I feed it? Can I?!" and her telling me she doesn't have extra money for zoo food. Good. Freaking. Times. XD XD XD
Down with boring!!!

Aw... well, candy goth is fun, too. Just wait, you'll get your wish, eventually. It's the eventually part that takes so long. Enjoy your childhood, dude. Trust me when I say that, for the love of all that is good and holy. Allow yourself some time to be innocent, because you're going to need stores of "Thank GAWD I let myself have a little innocence growing up" if you're going to jump into the "goth" (as they call it) scene, because it's a doozy. You know the other thing that bothers me? People think I do drugs, because of how I dress! I'm like, "What, you need drugs to reach a higher state of consciousness? *awkward silence* Suck." And they think that, somehow, I am lacking in certain moral values. *sighs* Doesn't make any sense to me. People believe everything they hear on talk radio and on the TV.

Yeahh. People think I'm like that cause some of myy friends do and I've never touched a drug that hasn't been prescribed to me by a doctor. I am innocent pretty much. Never had sex, never done drugs, I've had alcohol..but just like a sip, and I didn't mean to..I didn't know myy mom had spiked her coke xD. And like..I only want a couple piercings..I want snake bites, a bar in my right ear, and one more piercing in my left ear. But like..myy mom even won't let me get that "scene" haircut that I want..she's too worried about her "reputation" (Yeahh. I have the kind of mom that was a cheerleader growing up, wants me to make straight A's, excel in sports, she wants me to be preppy, and she can't accept the fact that I'm just NOT that person) And I DO pretty much make straight A's. Maybe a B every once in awhile..like..I'm on the academic team..So I have school goin pretty good..and that's what she wants..for me to do good in school..I should at least get SOEMTHING I want for trying to hard

Man, my mom is a cultural anthropologist with blue hair, and a witch that leans toward Buddhism. Would she have let me dress like that in high school? Hah, NO. Perhaps your mom (not that I'd known) is more worried about you than her reputation, but she doesn't know how to tell you, so that's her excuse. Happens a LOT. Maybe not, but just throwin' it out there. Good that you make straight As. Me? My grades in school were laughable. I had the attention span of a goldfish. Parents put me on Ritalin, which made me shake, then Adderall, which did nothing. When I was younger, they had me on something called Anafranil (used to treat OCD under normal circumstances) for anxiety. THAT one messed me up. What worked? Meditation. Works to this day.
Remember, when you try hard, you ARE getting something, even if it's not aesthetic or prosthetic or anything material; you're getting something quite valuable: the ability to give yourself the opportunity to have those things you want (come to think of it, GOD I want snake bites).
One of my bosses told me recently, "Boy, it ain't your parents job to give you your way, that's your job. Their job is to raise you so you make good decisions when you WANT your way." I think I almost died from lack of oxygen while laughing. She's absolutely right. ^_~ It's something I came realize later, and damned if I wasn't pissed off when I realized it. XD

xDMyy mom thinks I'm a freak. Like I'll walk into her room and ask for something or do something and she'll go O.o Uhh..no.
And I understand the whole hair dye and piercing thing..but she doesn't have to be as mean as she is about it..and I could at least get a haircut that I actually LIKE. Myy mom thinks the haircut I want will be the all in myy face, over one eye, stereotypical "emo" haircut..and that's not what I want..at all.
And she even got my brother convinced that I ruin her reputation.
It's hard cause I wanna grow up and move out so bad..but like most of me wants to stay a little kidd.

*grins* Sometimes, I wish I could still live at home and be a little kid. It was so much easier. I'm sorry she's mean about it, though. You're right, there's no reason for that. Stereotypical "emo", heh. Well, it's really what's inside you that counts, what's in your soul, all style aside. That's cliche, but quite true. It sucks that she's got your brother convinced, though. *shakes his head* I usually have those types of haircuts, but I try to stick to visual kei hairstyles, despite the fact that they're a pain in the @$$. When I have hair over one eye, I start to get headaches, eventually; always been that way. Moving out also isn't nearly as glorious as it could; I've got stories about people who moved out WAY too young.
