He was found as a kit, he doesn't consider the queen who took care of him his mother.

History
As a kit, Slatekit was found on the outside of the Dustclan camp, Left there by his mother after he was born. He was told from then that he was found and didn't mean anything to his adoptive mother as she had her own kits, So he came to terms that he didn't have any family and he didn't much care.

A few moons past and Slatekit was now Slatepaw, Always training with or without his mentor and took it, along with most things, very seriously. Slatepaw never really spoke with the other apprentices, thus he didn't have any friends what so ever.

At his first battle between Dustclan and Leafclan, Slatepaw lost his sight in his right eye to a leafclan warrior, But even with his injuries he attacked the warrior and almost killed him, leaving him savagely scarred, continuing until the battle was over. Then collapsed from Blood loss.
After his injuries were closed, Slatepaw was made a warrior and named Slatetail.

10 moons passed and the deputy of the clan died of green cough. Well seeing as Slatetail had proven himself in battle many times, He was made the new deputy.

Now 50 moons and the leader of Dustclan, the ruthless leader has made quite a name for himself, cats say he kills for sport and does the unspeakable to she-cats... Well while patroling the Leafclan border he came across the deputy, Swiftstream, and he forced himself on her, and she became pregnant. Fortunately the kits she bore where too dear to her to not love and she became at peace with what slatestar did, even thanking him for giving her such beautiful kits! Well at this point Slatestar had a soft spot for the she-cat, who he found to be trusting of him.

A moon later and Icemask, a Leafclan traitor, joined Dustclan and soon after became pregnant and claimed that the kit's were slatestar's, though he was sure he hadn't mated with her. Icemask died during kitting, but before she did she asked Cinderfall, the dustclan deputy, to take care of the kits. Slatestar and Cinderfall will now raise the kits as their own.
