I'm not into this kind of landscapes so much, but I couldn't help it this time. I started this piece as an album cover for a client, but the commission was canceled, anyhow I decided to keep going on the illustration and make my personal concept with my usual elements and color scheme, and man I loved the result
I had a lot of fun doing this piece, I used human figures made on Poser and DazStudio to get references of light and shadow and I combined them with real human parts, even some shots of myself xD. All the rest is photographic material too.

Sweet concept! I've been a fan of many of your works, and this is no different. It's original and well conceptualized. The colours are the perfect "drabness" and coming to life.
I know I could not come close to doing this piece, but if you're willing to take comments, what I'm really missing is the interaction of the different elements with the water. The earth one is cool, though the wave separation and disturbance is not accurate. It'd be awesome if the lava element caused huge vapor clouds around his legs. For the tree-dude, maybe fish, birds, and other lifeforms. No idea what to do with grumpy in the back

Thanks for your comment!. Yes I did try a lot of other elements around the characters but it seemed oversaturated and I hate that, I guess sometime we have to make some artistic decisions regardless the obvious stuff
