Okay, since I'm no longer doing Lowroad I finally have the time (and energy) to draw stuff I want to draw (without having to think about readers)...This is just a bit of concept art that I might (or might not) use in my next project (if I manage to get another one going)

aww, Lowroad is over? It's good you are doing something for you instead of having to put out a Lowroad strip every week. Still, I hope it comes back sometime. Anyway, cool piece, looks like something more serious, that would be a cool change of pace.

actually it's more of an article about people who do this kind of thing all the time, analysing errors in their judgements and their own inadequacies.

Your comment about Catholic school cracked me up... I taught at one and saw that a religious program often causes more harm than good. But if it provides good material for a comic, go for it!

As much as I enjoy(ed) Lowroad, I am really anxious to see what you can do when you strip away the obligatory fan service. It should be an interesting self-imposed challenge, and I know you'll do an amazing job.

Actually, doing away with the fan service will make my life a heck of a lot easier. Lowroad was an extremely restrictive format which dictated the content and structure (not to mention readers).
The main reason I'm starting a new comic is to allow myself the freedom to create content that I'm actually interested in... (I really ran out of ideas for Lowroad about 2 years ago!)

More than anything, I hit a brick wall two years ago and realised that the comic had nowhere to go.. I kinda painted myself into a corner...
I guess I tried to do the best I could out of it and keep up with what the readers wanted but in the end I just couldn't keep churning out stuff that my heart wasn't into....
