Just a very quick, slapdash concept picture for a new character.
Miriam Van Der Vaart. She started as a secondary character but she has grown on me.
Do you think her name suits?
I should've put this in the scrapbook but that's just the way I roll, muthafukkers!

"Miriam van der Vaart". Man, Dutch names are weird. Anyway, those two articles/prepositions are not capitalized, just as one doesn't usually capitalize "of" and "the", or German "von".
Anyway, while the girl is cute... she looks a lot like Lapin's early concept pictures. Like, shortne her hair, and who are you gonna get?

It's a cute character with an interesting name.
As to suitability, seems okay, it certainly doesn't clash, and gives me an impression of aristocracy.

Yes, there is a touch of old about her (her family at least) and she is a vampire.

"old family", that's good. Aristocracy is not quite right, but that was what came to mind at the time.
I hope she gets inked and coloured at some point.
It was interesting "Googling" Van der Vaart; Rafael the player for a Dutch Football team, Jan the Renaissance painter, Sylvie the model, a few PhD researchers. A potential wide and diverse family?

You see, she reminds me of Lapin, which makes her not-so-original. It looks like you're trying to came up with something absolutely new, but... You know.
Still, I like her. She's cute and such.
But somehow, it feels like something missing. I don't know how to tell it, because I don't know what is missing.

Ah, that's because I was coming up with a story for Lapin but needed a secondary female character. That's when I came up with her. For some reason I gave her Lapin's bunny ears and glasses. Lapin is no longer called Lapin (which means rabbit in French) and she has no bunny ears or glasses, instead, Mariam will be the one using them.

Well, with this explanation makes a lot of sence. Yeah, it wouldn't be cool without rabbit ears and glasses at all, so it's good that you gave us Miriam instead. Have a good luck with your new story!
