You see, dear friend, I'm what you might call a thaumaturgic creation, last and best of a batch of sixteen, born from the curious concoctions of a chimaericist, a wizardly sort with a penchant for modifying living flesh. A tad unconventional, but quite the decent fellow, I assure you.

Now, I won't bore you with the technicalities, but suffice it to say, I'm a bit of this and a touch of that, all masterfully blended together to form the dashing and resourceful chap you see before you.

A word of warning though: not everyone is as trustworthy as me. You have to be mighty careful in these parts, you know. There are dishonest scoundrels lurking about, the sort of ne'er-do-wells who'd snatch your hard-earned coin and leave you stranded in one of Middlemurk's less-than-salubrious neighbourhoods. You'd find yourself at the tender mercies of the mug-hunters and the mumpers, and trust me, that's a predicament nobody wants to be in.
