Hmm. Iiinteresting. I do like unusual compositions. I like to push it to the point where it pisses the editors off a bit. Can't be too radical and forward thing, now, can we!?

It's the Philippines, so it really needed to be. But I think I am over-compensating for the utter shite weather we've been having here lately. Four bloody foot of snow in April!!!
Bring on the summer.

God knows how. We never seem to have a bastard summer here.

It's the summer in your mind!

It's a debauched nightclub in MY mind, with neon lighting, booze and titties.
It's a wrong, sorry place, but I never let it bleed into my work.

Hahaha, then I suppose watching films like Falling Down helped you capture the summer mood?
My mind is some kind of post-apocalyptic disaster. At the same time, it's also pre-apocalyptic. Don't ask.

God, it's been far too long since I've watched it. I need to hit my old favourites of cinematographic loveliness...
Jurassic Park, Falling Down, Collateral, Cellular, Point Break, Beverly Hills Cop 1&2, Brick, L.A. Confidential and Bad Boys.
Can you have a 'post' apocalypse? Isn't apocalypse the end of everything? Post apocalypse would be after the end. So, like a post credits stinger. Does Samuel L Jackson pop up in your head and ask you about the Avengers Initiative? ha ha.

Oh wow, Collateral, I love that film as well. And I can see where your LA vibe comes from now!
A post apocalypse presupposes that there were a number of survivors. So I guess it really wasn't the end. But what I really mean is, a post-disaster world, Mad Max and Book of Eli style? Hahaha, Samuel L. Jackson doesn't pop out, but Morgan Freeman's in there often. D:

"...Andy, was a goood maaan..."
Not too keen on the dourness of the end of it all. I like the world how it is, with all it's faults and all.
I love how Collateral looks, as well as the story etc. Beautiful film, and oddly for me, all set a night. And you can't beat Jason Statham's cameo at the beginning. Is he supposed to be Frank Martin, The Transporter? I'd like to think so.

Oh I definitely agree, and prefer the world as it is. Though I am invariably drawn towards post-apocalyptic films. And it's wierd, because I also love films set in the city, in the ordinary world. Full of contradictions? Yes I am.
YES Collateral looks amazing. Michael Mann does like to shoot films with night scenes. Miami Vice is another example. DUDE I never thought about Jason's cameo that way before, you might just be right!

He's a courier. Dropping off a suitcase. Wearing the exact same slim-fit black suit.
I'll bet he could kick the living shit outta Tom Cruise.

Mind = blown. I'm totally watching it again very very soon. I have it on VHS can you believe it.
But does he also do his own stunts?

Statham? Yeah, he does. He has no stunts in Collateral, mind. But yeah, he does his own in Transporter. The majority at least.

Just like Tom Cruise, no? I call for a duel between the two of them, see who survives!

Statham. Sorry, no contest. Cruise would try to blind Stath with his silly porcelain teeth, but Jason would fly-kick him to the throat.

Hahahaha, true, but it wouldn't be a fair contest, Cruise is an old man these days!
