China Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu saying on Tuesday that the autonomous region's development in Tibet was "better than ever"!!!!!!!I have today signed an petition calling on the Chinese government to respect human rights in Tibet and dialogue with the Dalai Lama. This is really important.
After decades of repression, the Tibetans are sending out a global cry for change.

yes, China is one of the worst countries in the world when it comes to respecting human rights, but as long as so many (western) countries keep on trading with China, no president, prime minister or whatever will put the foot down.
