I love the whole design, but looking at it, the one thing that stands out is I think the foxes could use a little more depth, they seem kind of flat. One thing that I think would give them depth is putting more shadow on the fox's head where it meets the breast of the woman, and that goes for both of them, it would make it seem that the head is curving into the distance and it would just look more 3-dimensional. That's it man, other than that, great job. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

P.S. Wasn't sure how to rate vision so the rating I put for that is pretty much crap lol

The way the shapes of the hair and the foxes flow into each other, coupled with the use of strong darks to emphasize depth is really powerful. I was taken aback by how, even from the thumbnail, the whole composition was so clear and readable. You have a very strong grasp on values and how to use them to create depth--the foxes really look nestled inside her hair.. or are those leaves... or feathers? Either way, it really doesn't matter, the effect is there and it is perfect. Likewise, the loose way with which you handled the drawing itself, as well as the watercolors--especially on the girl's face--give a very fresh feeling to the work.
Yet, despite the depth on the figures themselves, or perhaps specifically because of it, I feel the whole work would benefit from some form of background. The white on the girl's face seems to blend in with the white of the background and the illusion of her really coming out of the paper is impaired. Just a light wash I think would serve well to break the distinction between figure and ground.
This piece is absolutely brilliant, though! It's very inspirational. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Cool style. What's not so cool is that it looks like she's using one of the foxes as fur.
