I want the color right away as it comes, mistakes in it; to go over rather than to erase

In this I see straight eraser marks. At this stage do you already know where you want the drips to go or are the eraser marks for another reason?

just to get a feeling for the piece really - the drips tend to go where they want!

That's what I thought, that the drips happen when they happen ^.^;; so I was confused. Thanks for the insight ^.^!!

do you erase keep all the pencil lines or do you erase some before painting ???

I normally work over - but sometimes I clean darkened areas a little otherwise the colour becomes muddy and the graphite builds up a little too much and greys the ink.. cheers
