Another for my RoboCop collection. I now own all five NECA RoboCop figures and the ED-209 (and they have a sixth RoboCop coming out in a few months that is blue-tinted like RoboCop 2 but has the flightpack and gunarm from RoboCop 3 and the Cobra Assault Cannon from the first movie. Yes I will buy!)Love the 'cell-shading' on this NES Robo and the backing card that has some of the pixel art from the old NES game printed on it for a nice backdrop.
I just noticed I'm totally reflected in the chestplate and helmet of the large Toy Island figure at the front there.
Oh and to the right yes there's the silver/black RebootCop 1.0 six inch figure. No I still haven't seen the film yet but the figure was cheap and I felt like getting one for the collection.

They've got a blue NES Predator coming out in the same style of box too. All part of the NES game series of repaints (funny cos none of the NES games they're homaging are much good)

Hm, I drove 30 miles this morning and around 10 roundabouts... was awesome. Especially when you get away from stupid cramped village streets full of parked cars and just get out on the main road doing 60mph. Freedom!!! Well, my first tastes of freedom anyways.

Yeah I drove in the driving lesson. My test is on May 19th so no driving by myself til after then and I get my own car.
Got my replacement Predator pretty quickly. Too scared to move his limbs but I did get his right elbow moving fine and just posed him next to my RoboCops. Once I get a dremel and can easily fix broken limbs I'll feel a bit safer about posing some of these.
I bought a 3.75 inch Iron Man 2020 figure from here www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marvel-Arno… No stand or energy accessory but that ain't important and for £3 with free delivery it's a good deal. I don't like regular Iron Man. Never have. But this guy Arno Stark reminds me of my childhood and was in a couple of stories in the Transformers comic (in the back up stories... Machine Man and a Spider-Man story) and I always found him pretty cool and a bit scary. He also has fought Death's Head I so will got great with the DH figure when that's out. I might buy a few more things from that seller. They're in Hong Kong but that Iron Man (and a 6 inch Terminator I bought for £3 from them too) only took a week to arrive.

Probably get me a peugeot 206 or something. A car that's popular enough to be quite common and easy to get parts for and also cheap and reliable compared to others.

Nah the NECA ones are hard to get one cheap for taking apart. This McFarlane figure is fine. Proportions are very so slightly comic-booky compared to the NECA one but it's the next best most accurate one.

Big talking one? Do you mean the old 18 inch one that has the motion sensors that make him play some samples when he detects movement? Or is there some new one you mean? I was constantly outbid on the 18inch figure on ebay. Doubt I'll get it for a long time. A car is my top priority.
By the way this is a pretty cool and (damn huge) vehicle for Predator figures www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/pr… Based on an old Kenner toy it seems.

Yeah that's the one. I do like some of the big NECA figures. But they do go for silly money.

How come some people say the 18 inch ones were about £30-£40 a few years ago yet if I go in Forbidden Planet now, the 18 inch Dutch from Predator is almost £100.
Nope I didn't have Aliens or Predator toys as a kid. That was about the age I wasn't really collecting toys as such other than the Batman The Animated Series figures I had won from the The Batman Adventures comic (i still remember getting that big box delivered and wondering what the heck it was. Twas a good day)

I've never seen those 18inch Neca figures for £30-£40. They cheapest i've seen them is about £70. That was for the Adam West Batman in this shop. a few months ago. Forbidden Plants are expensive. although there pre-orders are a lot cheaper but sell out fast.
Yeah I wasn't really collection figures when the Kenner Aliens and Predator figures were out. I remember looking at them and didn't think some of them looked that great.
So got anything recently? I found 3 of those Lego Simpsons minifigure blind bags yesterday. I got Bart, Marge and Itchy. They are pretty cool.

If I see any of the Lego Simpsons packs I may get a couple but it's not likely I'm gonna be in a shop that sells them for at least a couple weeks or so. I like that they all have relevant accessories. I really like the head molds too. Tired of the generic lego heads and these add much more character and obvious accuracy.

The Lego Simpsons bags are one of he easiest to feel for the characters. With the new heads you can guess who they will be. But knowing my luck I will still end up getting doubles. They are doing more figures with new sculpted head. The TMNT ones I got are new.

Watching RebootCop now it's out on DVD (but shush I didn't buy it). It's ok. I hadn't realised they took the insulting bit from the early trailers and now refer to the original armour look as highly approved 'Combat Mode' which is nice. Problem with the film is that it's just not particularly memorable. Nobody's going to be quoting or re-enacting scenes from it like the original. Also where's the fun? The villains of the original were threatening yet still entertaining and funny.
Also the Samuel L Jackson bits are reeeeeeeeally tedious. Bring back Media Break with Casey Wong and Jess Perkins.

Um well I didn't actually use the DVD. Was a DVDrip so I don't know if it's officially out yet. I may still buy it though on Blu Ray sometime. I didn't like it a huge amount but it was ok (I still find RoboCop 3 to be more re-watchable oddly enough).
Dunno about the figure. I didn't really like seeing the black one in action in the film much. The silver always looks better.

The Rebootcop DVD is not out in the UK till next month. It's out in the US. I more than likely get it next month.

About half and half maybe. Most of the combat is in the black one til it gets wrecked.
