Description Well I thought I would do one of these too, to share with everyone There are many things that influence and inspire me in creating works of art, these are just a few artists and things that have influence and inspire me.
Ann Kullberg - Probably the most influential color pencil artist in my life. I have been a member of her online ezine for many years and have learned a lot from her ezine, her books and her workshop. She is a very talented smart business savvy woman.
Mike Sibley - An amazing talented graphite artist. His dog portraits are truly inspiring. I missed the chance, last month, to go to one of his workshops nearby in Portland. I was so disappointed. His book is awesome. I learned so much and plan on getting back to working with graphite in the nearby future.
Howard David Johnson - Believe it or not that image is a color pencil drawing. He does amazing photo realistic and fantasy works in color pencil. He also gives online lessons. He's truly one of my inspirations and a big influence in my works.
Bec Winnel - Back in art school, I wanted to do fashion commercial work. Bec Winnel's works truly captures the beauty of women. I love the soft colors and touch Bec uses when creating these beautiful works of art.
Dona Gelsinger - She creates such beautiful angels. Her works constantly inspire me.
Simon Dewey - His Christian artwork is truly inspiring and breathtaking. Something I hope to achieve one day.
Ian Daniels - A fantastic fantasy artist. I love his myths and faeries works the most. His style and his use of colors have really influence and inspire me. Unfortunately, he doesn't have all his faerie works up on his site.
Lauri Blank - Her works are just breathtakingly stunning. I love her technique and romantic realistic style and the way she puts her soul and passion into each piece she creates. That soul and passion has greatly influenced me.
Sheila Wolk - I love her angels, faeries and mermaids. She's one of my favorite fantasy artists.
Zindy - a well known artist on DA. What I love most about Zindy's works is how she is able to capture so much emotion and feelings in each piece she creates. You can tell she pours her heart and soul into each piece. And her works emotionally connect with her viewers, that to me is a very gifted artist and very inspiring.
Josephine Wall - I love her use of color and style. Each piece has a story behind it and she explains how that story inspired her to create the work.
Jonathan Earl Bowser - Gorgeous inspiring works! He truly captures the beauty of women and beautiful scenic backgrounds. Something I aspire to learn how to do.
Jim Warren - I have been a fan of Jim's works for a long time. His creative, imaginative, amazing pieces just blow me away. A very talented artist.
JM Leotti - An amazing gifted fantasy artist! Love the attention to detail and atmosphere.
Johanna Pieterman - I have been watching Johanna create works of art for a long time. I first saw her works in the Yahoo color pencil art group way back when, and I was so inspired by her technique and style and her favorite subject Stevie Nicks. A very talented and gifted artist.
Casting Crowns - One of my favorite Christian bands. I have been truly inspired by many of their songs and I am anxious to get busy working on a few sketches by inspired by their songs.
Evanescence - I can't explain how much this band's music inspires me. The words to the songs and her beautiful voice just is constantly inspiring me to create emotional pieces. I am looking forward to the release of their new album.
Celtic Woman - I listen to their music a lot. Believe it or not "Send Me A Song" was inspired by one of their songs sung by Lisa. She has the most beautiful voice and the song just touched me so. I had to draw what I was envisioning. And thanks to wonderful stock photographers on DA, I was able to do that.
Movies and Soundtracks - I am so inspired by movies and movie soundtracks such as Narnia and Pirates of the Caribbean. I am really looking forward to the new movies coming out for the both of them. And I still plan on drawing Jack and something of Narnia. It's on my list to do.
Singers and Songwriters - really inspired by a lot of musicians. I shared a few such as The Corrs, Carrie Underwood, Avril Lavigne, and Hana Pestle
Beth Moore - This woman is amazing. Her love and joy for Christ is so inspiring. Her studies have inspired me in creating "Mary Did You Know" and I have visions for a few others I want to create. It's just finding the right stock model can be so difficult.
Jane Austen - I admit I am a Jane Austen fan. I love the movies and her books. I find them so inspiring and I have had ideas for a couple of drawings, but have yet to come up with the sketches.
Lost - Even though the show has ended, it continues to inspire me. The emotions that everyone went through in the show and how they were able to capture those emotions is incredible. I still want to draw Sawyer and I have plans to draw a few emotional pieces, inspired by the show.
