This is not a piece of me rejecting my trans identity. This is the small part of me that is ashamed of my trans-ness. After the last pic (cat in the cage) I didn't really feel comfortable depicting Carouselboi (what I call this character) with the trans bow thing. While he started out as a sort of cute escapism I found him to become more an icon of what causes a lot of my suffering. He's an extremely unrealistic standard. Another emotion I wanted to depict with this is how hard it is to find a place in the trans community, or any community. Sometimes I find people I can relate to on an individual level but... everyone's transition is different, every trans person is different, we're all feeling a lot of pain, and a lot of our pain can even contradict with eachother. We're all unique and vunerable individuals. I don't usually like to explain my art so indepth but, this piece I thought it's important people get the full context.
