Description
The map of the lore species-world I'm making. Design belongs to me. History recently added as the last section!
The group dedicated to this AU:
LORE: All the information below is the result of the Human researchers that studied and published their discoveries about Earth-Post-Humans. (EPH)
TL;DR my evil twist is that humans sent a rocket to a life-bearing planet before annihilating themselves from the face of the Earth in a nuclear war. The humans on the alien planet lived there for many generations before being able to come back to Earth, effectively making them the True Aliens on Earth, while the species that appeared after the war can be considered indigenous to Earth. I'll still call them the EPH aliens.
LEGEND: Biomes and Life
The planet's oxygen levels are around 28%, much higher than in the 21st century. The gravitational pull of the planet is smaller and water still covers 75% of the planet, but the land is grouped more in islands rather then big continents.
1.The Winter Plains: A cold wasteland, with moss and bushes isolated in the snow. The weather is extremely cold most of the year, but the temperature is quite constant all day and night. No recorded species yet.
2.The Flora Monarchy Thanks to heavy rains and not-too-warm summers, followed by dry winters, the plant population bloomed in this area. Besides few Fungi and Animals, the plant species here rule the land. Numerous examples of overly gigantic plants were recorded, soon to be shared with the public.
3.The Caves Of Rai The largest cave system on the planet, they reach the size of half of the original Asian Continent, being connected to all the mountains of Asia. Its name is in honour of Rai Zentung, the Chinese leader during the Last Human War. Rai planned to make a bunker area for almost all the population on the Asian Continent, saving this way half of the world's population from the war. Unfortunately, the project was sabotaged and the refugees died in the bunkers as well. The project gave birth to a huge tunnel-system in which all kinds of creatures reside. No recorded species as of yet.
4.Wild Savanna A better irrigated version of a dessert, the savanna took over the whole continent, letting the most violent species have a place of their own. The only salvation from the heat is underground or the many oasis that are scattered all over the region. Examples: The Siege Lizards ;
5. Amazonian Archipelago Slightly acidic waters that irrigate huge islands full of life. The flora is extremely dense and prepared for the rain-forest climate. Examples: Raflephangon: ;
6.Ash Islands Volcanic in nature, these islands have an eruption season in which the temperature rises and t=smoke blocks the sun, ashes spilling all over the soil. Flora and Fauna can resist this phenomenon nonetheless. Some species form the Volcanic Lakes Biome reside here as well. Examples: Sulfbirds: ; Heatick ;
7. Heaven's staircase With huge rocks that seem to touch the sky, the ground is fully covered in dust and smoke. Any living organism here evolved to rise as close as possible to the top of the Biome. The helium clouds are also vital to the species here. Examples of species: The Insnags ;
8.The Snow Dome Walls of ice and snow surrounding a land of ever-winter. The species here consider the cold a pleasant reality. Examples: The Snow Stalker ; Glaciphangon : ; Penguin Raptor ;
9.The Lava Lakes The highest volcano on Earth located in one of the coldest environments, this area consists of thermal lakes surrounded by tropical jungles. Living in a fragile temperature resulted from the clash of elements, the species here are quite unique and well-adapted to heat. Examples: The Lilaphangon ; The Amfuifurnal ; The SulfBirds: ; The Heatick ; The Moth-Masks
10. The Acid Swamps Due to a high concentration of nuclear reactors and weaponry, most of the land has been heavily irradiated. Even after so much time, the acid rains continue and the radiation still remains. However, the fauna and flora fully adapted to the given conditions and even depends on the "unlivable" conditions. No species documented yet.
11.The Sand City The dessert in this region has formed weird formations similar to the old buildings that used to stick out in the horizon. The cacti and dessert-critters now rule the dunes of dust. No species documented yet.
12.The Far Tundra Covering the North of the European-Asian Continents, the Tundra presents species that feast on the liquid nitrogen sources in the area.Forests of cone-bearing trees and Nordic light shows are the main attraction of this region. No recorded species as of yet.
HISTORY: (U don't need to read this if you're participating in the contest, but u can read for your own pleasure)
A few decades after the beginning of the 22nd century, the world has united in a single mission: colonizing the planet known as Vitania. Vitania, discovered recently, is the first planet beside Earth to have confirmed forms of life. The first spaceship sent from Earth was a small exploration ship, planned to be followed by a transport ship with more resources and bigger collective. The exploration ship, named "Legacy", had only a 50 humans crew and would have a 150 years-long journey to make the first contact between humans and another world of life. After the successful launch of Legacy, the transport ship took off 10 days later, only to explode near Mars. With no known reason for its explosion, thousands had perished, a heavy hit for all of Earth's countries.
What ensued was the perfect disaster story. The nations, which promised to bury the hatchet for the unifying purpose of exploration of the unknown, would start a war. All the tension that filled the gun-powder barrel had been ignited by the incident. A war ,that didn't even had the time to be named, started. The loudest moments to ever take place on Earth made the atmosphere vibrate. Everything that humans made on Earth through out all history, gone in a day. No one could stop it, once a bomb dropped, everyone joined in the mission of destroying each other. Humans had completely disappeared, all bunkers sabotaged before hand, no bipedal survivor left.
The sad story of humanity didn't end there though. While it might have been unaware of the conflict on Earth, Legacy's crew reached its goal. Humans landed on Vitania for the first time. A powerful experience for the crew was meeting the life of Vitania, however, biologists were a bit disappointed. the planet was in a Cambrian-like period, no signs of sentient life. After 50 years of isolation on Vitania, they eventually realized no help from Earth might come. The 50 members of the crew made their own community on the new planet, adapting to the conditions and lack of resources. The first generations had a hard time, but, at the 2800 years anniversary of human civilization on Vitalia, they were able to make a new spaceship.
Returning to Earth on Legacy 2, humans were met with a completely new world, full of the ruins of the original humans. The planet they landed on would go on to be another type of Earth, Earth-Post-Humans (EPH). Born on Vitania, the crew of Legacy 2 only had old maps and archives thousands of years-old, so they knew nothing about how Earth changed since the Legacy left. Humans became aliens on Earth, and the Earth suffered transformation that these alien humans had to discover for themselves. The humans called the war to erase humans from Earth : "The Last Human War" and decided to investigate the traces of humanity left on the planet.

This is very interesting! Are the EPH one of the alien species you've been mentioned in statuses? (Think it was statuses--)

Thank you! EPH is more reffering to all species that developed after humans dissappeared from Earth. I'll complete a part of the lore today, but i'm glad you were curious.
