Description
A personification of justice, based on a dream I had and still remember. Here I’ll try describing it.“In front of me was a wooden door, seeming to fill a void. I looked to the right, to the left, behind myself and behind the door, but there was nothing else beside the absolute door. I opened the heavy door, grabbing the cold handle, a court room appearing on the other side.
In the middle of the door my eyes were met by a bizarre creature that was standing calmly in a jury desk. Its covered eyes, its long horn holding two scales like a primitive libra; the creature’s skull resembled the one of a cattle or goat. I tried looking into its eyes, or at least the place where its eyes were supposed to be, but didn’t feel its look coming from there, rather from much lower. The pale rich beard was somehow watching me, giving me a feeling of overwhelming eeriness and obsolete. Its metal hand stopped scratching the desk and pointed at me with handcuffs-like fingers, calling me closer. Hair strings from the beard were flowing down its hand. I followed its call. I took my eyes off the metal hand and looked at the judge hammer. Seemingly floating in the air, the hammer was rotating slowly. On each of its sides a word was written: on one side the white crest spelling “Guilty” and on its other side a black crest spelling “Innocent”.
The hard hit of the hammer suddenly broke the silence, the creature whispered slowly “Guilty”; then nothing. Everything disappeared. I woke up numb, like my mind was caged by my own thought. “
