This always makes me beg the question why no one has thought of a How it should've ended video or fic for this movie yet
it could have the following
1. while Carrie is still a little girl, the White families neighbors' can hear Carrie being abused by her mother from their own homes and immediately call the police and Child Protection Services, as a result, Carrie gets sent to a genuinely loving family
2. Chris and Billy get shot by the farmer when they break into his farm to kill one of his pigs for its blood, as he shoots trespassers on sight.
3. after Ms. Collins/Desjardin warns Sue not to play a prank on Carrie, Sue assures her that's she's not and instead tells her instead of suspecting her, she should be cautious of Chris who is the more likely suspect to want revenge on Carrie, So she gets someone to watch the gym after closing, Chris and Billy are then caught by a security guard when trying to rig up the pigs' blood when the gymnasium where the prom is being held is closed and are arrested for breaking and entering
