So I recently got bit by TF bug and all my repressed TF Feels came exploding out again. (I blame those early 5 mins from the Bumblebee movie) So here's a TF comic I spent WAAAAY too much time on! Enjoy!
Anyone remember Transformers Animated? Man that was a cool series. I really loved it when they included my favourite characters from the '86 TF Movie such as Hot Rod/Rodimus, Arcee, Blurr, Ultra Magnus, *squints at smudge of hand*... Splunger. Yep Yep. Good Times!
Springer's TFA design was based on that one headshot picture. I made up the body design and regretted it almost instantly.

Well, considering in the TFA-verse, Triple-changers were developed by Blackarachnia exclusive to the Decepticons, and with the multiple personality fracture in the spark.
And before the Bumblebee movie, the only two Decepticon Triple-changers were Blitzwing and Astrotrain.
Along with that,
Sergeant Kup wasn't in animated either, I think.

Ah yes, the whole "Triple-Changer" conundrum... *pulls out massive binder and slams it onto table* Herein are a million (Carrinth lies, it's probably less than five) headcanons I created that could totally work Springer into the TFA universe... (What NO I did NOT spend hours of sleepless night staring into the abyss as I wracked my brain on how to resolve the Triple-Changer Conundrum hahaha... that's silly!) without breaking TFA canon.
(Also. Yep Kup wasn't in TFA but at least he had a bigger role in the The AllSpark Almanac. And an actual full body design. And plans to be included in the story)

But my thirst for Springer G1-ish story in TFA is strong. Is it worth it?? Is it worth the risk?!

Yes! I was very confused by that one picture floating around that supposedly showed full body TFA Springer by DJW. It was kinda just chubby Springer...? Where was the TFA aesthetic? But I think that just confirmed they didn't really care about figuring out Springer. Which filled me with such righteous fury I had to draw my FEELS.
