The drawing is cute, but i think you overdid the blurring this time. (my opinion, ofc) This means that you resized it to too little, before you resized it to big again. (but not that much, just a little too much. about 30% less would be perfect)
I know you want to lose the pixel effect, but, if you lose too much of the definition of their faces, that's a bad thing.
I think i know a better way arround the pixelated effect without resizing, but it's on Photoshop... Dunno if GIMP has it too. But this is one teory of mine that i've been wanting to try for a long time, but i still have to buy the freaking black marker first!
The idea is to activate the contours on the Blending Options of the layer, and make them normal black.
If i find this is working, i will make my strips this way, since it spares me a lot of time... really, a lot... and, seriously, a comic strip doesn't need that much detail anyway. I'll spare the time i would take on the fancy linework for the wallpapers.
