Description June 2006 - ink pens and graphite

This is a commission, do not use it for anything.

This is the usual "Sirius confronts Harry because of Snape, no matter if there was something going on or not" scene - the story was written before OotP, I guess, so Sirius is very much around (and annoying as ever) Anyway, here you have Sirius being slightly insane and throwing accusations around without having proof - and shouldn't he know better - while Harry is Not Amused and Snape is Not Impressed.

So very cool. Very well done as well! *gawks* Sirius' emotion is spot on, and I just love Snape and Harry's serious 'we're going to put up with this but not back down' looks.

Gorgeous artwork as always. I am very impressed with the border and the ink outlines, which make everything effectively pop out (which is good). Lovely drawing. And yay! for Snape's hair length (a trivial detail I know, but I am sick of the movie haircut, which is decidedly ugly in my opinion). I like Snape with long hair.

How interesting that you've done a commission for that scenario. I read a lot of fic in the past with that scene, and although I dislike Sirius I never understood how the authors could make him so immature and Snape so seemingly mature. One has only to look at POA to see that they're quite similar in that respect. Then I saw other fics with the same plot device - set up conflict by introducing a character who threatens the relationship - and realized that it wasn't just Sirius; often it's Ron, who I adore, or anybody else really. Not to denigrate the author you're drawing for, who (having not clicked your link yet) I don't know at all; I just dislike the use of that scenario, because it makes the accusing character usually quite OOC. Anyway, sorry to rant at you: your commission is awesome.

Ooops... I have been really slack with comments, I'm sorry.

Bah. I don't like the films (apart from PoA) and I very strongly dislike Alan Rickman as Snape. He's a brilliant actor... just not Snape

And shoulder-length means for me tips just over the shoulder, so I draw him that way

Yeah, I usually dislike this scenario as well, though there might have several that I read that handled it pretty well. I'm not saying that it's completely OOC for say Ron or Sirius to go off the hadle when they find out that Harry's is involved with Snape - actually it's pretty much what I would expect, but there are ways to do it that leaves *all* involved pretty much IC.

Yes! It IS lovely! I too noticed that sneaky plant, and it just makes the drawing!! I suppose I'll have to read the fic, but what's with Harry's pants? I love how you made such a detailed drawing with such a complicated background, but it doesn't intrude on the figures at all. *sigh* I have to work on my backgrounds....

Hehe I just could resist a sneaky plant. I bet they don't like Snape, because he always steals into the greenhouses at night, to harvest bits and pieces for his potion supplies, so they try to get back at him!
Anyway, thank you so much for your lovely comments! I'm glad you enjoyed this one

Oh - Snape is gorgeous in this one! His nose is perfect. And the little details once again make this just lovely - the grapes, every leaf, Sirius' boots and the spiny looking plant with the flower tendrilling it's way into Snape's pocket! This is a fav!

I must admit that I myself wasn't too happy with this one for various, but we make mistakes to learn from them, right?
I'm you liked it, though! Thank you so much!
