Description
Pies Iesu Domine,Dona Eis Requiem.
*BONK*
The chant, the monks were saying during the 'Bring Out Your Dead' segment of Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
It's actually the last two lines of Dies Irae (Mozart's "Requiem Mass in D minor")
("Kind Lord Jesus, grant them rest").

Heh... and then, as I remember, the next thing we see are a bunch of peasants denouncing a witch to Sir Bedevere!
"She turned me into a newt . . . . . I got better."

It was really fun in the movie. That and the part with the dancing knights in the castle are my most favorite scenes.
Great stamp! It put a smile on my face.

The best thing? A few years ago, I got talked into going to a local Renaissance Fair, and there was a group, dressed as Arthur and his Knnnnighits!

Ahhh, I love this quote. After seeing the movie, when we had an arrangemnt with the chant included in Choir, I drove the poor teacher nuts by hitting the bottom of my seat each time after we finished the phrase. ^_^
