Description
Pies Iesu Domine,Dona Eis Requiem.
*BONK*
The chant, the monks were saying during the 'Bring Out Your Dead' segment of Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
It's actually the last two lines of Dies Irae (Mozart's "Requiem Mass in D minor")
("Kind Lord Jesus, grant them rest").

When we went to my Aunt's ordination at Salisbury cathedral, there was someone carrying a huge bible out in front of them in the way the Monty Python monks do and there was some chanting going on. My Dad and I found it very hard not to laugh! (Although we were most disappointed that they didn't actually hit themselves on the head!)

I once chanted this an hour straight. It's a good thing I used a paper back book though.

Never say this while waiting to get into the Christmas 'mass' at a Catholic high school. Your home room teacher will look mortified and then laugh when he thinks that no one is looking, lol.
Now I am really wishing that I could put up stamps!
