remember when those pages were blank?
fresh,
beautiful,
crisp,
cream.
too perfect to touch.
i could barely etch my name in ink.
the pages turned,
i become more daring.
no, more scared.
but i wrote.
robbing it of its fresh life;
it was built for beauty.
my story is not.
they hold me.
the words and images on those lines.
they are our home.
