Do you know what I noticed, Erin Hunter (let's just call her EH) always kills off the young and/or beautiful cats who were usually just in a few books. Spottedleaf for example, dies in the first frickin book of the series, Silverstream, died after two books. Feathertail is here for a couple books and then BAMB π₯ EH just kills her off. Now Swiftpaw for example, we barely get to know him and than they kill him off. Now Scourge, he had the worst life somebody could have and than his own brother kills him. Firestar, we expect him to give mercy on cats but noooo, he kills a cat on purpose for like the first time ever! If he knew about Scourge's path he could probably convince him or something.

the erins have written so many characters with age gaps who became mates: pinestar and leopardfoot, stormtail and dappletail, heck even ferncloud and dustpelt had a bit of a gap. like.... they wouldn't have made these decisions if people thought they were promoting pedophilia (which they aren't because they are literal cats and their norms are different from humans)Β
