That's what she did.
If she didn't give them up, she wouldn't have been deputy nor leader.
Thistleclaw would have gone in her place.Β
And they would've died in the many battles he would have created.
Not to mention how awful Thistle would've been as a leader. He was so selfish.
Even if the kits didn't die in battle, a lot of their clanmates would have.
Maybe she wasn't a good mother.
But she was a good warrior.
She cared more about her clan than herself.Β
She gave up what she cared about the most just to protect her clan.
She is a good warrior. Not the best mother, but a good warrior.

Bluefur saw that her kits were very cold, so she started digging holes and picked them up and put them into each one. They then were tried, so she dug a hole and let them sleep. THATS WHERE MOSSKIT DIED

Bluestar didn't dig the holes because her kits were cold, she heard an owl hooting and dug the holes to hide her kits as the trekked. Β But you're correct saying that Mosskit died in one of those holes

No when Bluefur have just given birth to them, Featherwhisker says that she has given birth to a male and two she-cats or something. The books? There is only one book that actually includes Mosskits name and that is Bluestars prophecy. Mosskit is mentioned in Forest of secrets or something but not by gender or name, only that one of Bluestars kits died.
