My favorite thing about the entire franchise is the language. Especially "Silflay" being a word that only a grazing, subterranean animal could invent. Shame it wasn't in the series.

wasn't it the series? (atleast in the miniseries, not sure about the animated series) :0

I know some mention of hyzenthlay (technically a lapine word) was in the 3-season series which is the only tv adaptation I've watched. It might just be an intentional choice since a producer can't exactly put a dictionary in a kids show without breaking the flow. My memory is foggy.

This screenshot looks so good, im so glad I came across it!! (your other artworks are so lovely ahh)
you drew the cuts and blood really well, the expression and fur is amazing as well!! (watched+!)
I also did really like the new watership down adaption, it reintroduced me to watership, i need to actually rewatch the old lol...i like that the black rabbit was a female, nice twist!
(and it still got me in the feels at the end hooga booga phdfghpid)
But yea, you did a really great job with everything, especially the atmosphere, expression(you can just tell bigwig is saying something lmao) and anatomy !!
I hope to see more of your works !! ;w;

Same !! She was gorgeous, loved her a lot!! ... Strawberry being female stirred some-things, but I'm glad she was a character tbh fgphdf.

I enjoyed the miniseries well enough, had some issues with it and liked some of the changes like Hazel and Clover's relationship (the one thing about the book I disliked was Hazel and Hyzenflay ending up together, as it just made no sense to me) and I liked the sequence of escaping from the house, it was a mixed bag, but a good time and a worthy adaptation despite some problems.

i agree it wasn't perfect! but Watership Down isn't an easy book to adapt and for what they gave us, i think it was pretty good! even if they had to change and add a few things ^^

Isnt Silflay their version of saying 'eating'? I enjoyed the new version although I thought Bigwig was a bit too aggressive throughout the whole thing.

I watched it a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it! My only problem with it is that most of the Efrafan rabbits looked the same so it was kinda hard to tell who was who.
But other than that it was great and I love how you drew Bigwig

LOL i'll agree with you on that! even some of the Watership Down rabbits looked pretty similar and were hard to tell apart (especially in the night scenes)

Everyone was talking about how trash it was gonna be and even after it came out some people were still crapping all over it. But I watched it and I have to say, I loved it! Sure, it isn't the prettiest animation but it ain't disney. I loved the backgrounds and honestly, the character designs were hella cute. I also really liked how they toned down the gore throughout the show.
This drawing is amazing and I love how you drew my boi Bigwig <33 Just stunning!

LOL yeah i don't get all of the hate surrounding it ;v ;; it's not like the animation is so bad it's unwatchable - i actually grew to appreciate the style!
i liked how they toned down the gore too - things don't have to be shocking to be good ^^
ahh thank you! <3

This looks amazing! You did a great job drawing him; and the background and shading help add to the overall feel of the picture. I also really love how you did his eyes. <3
I actually liked the Netflix adaptation better than the 1978 movie. The animation was a little weird to get used to at first, but the story was great and I loved all the characters so much. I've already rewatched it multiple times. Definitely my favorite on-screen adaptation of Watership Down.

Great Picture! Haven't watched the Netflix adaption yet but did get to poke around Newbury after I read the book. Funny to think the warren where Hazel and Fiver were born was only half a mile away from where they filmed the rebel base scenes for Force Awakens.

At first, I was concerned about a new adaptation, especially considering the track record of most movies/TV shows like that, but the mini-series was faithful to the book and I really liked it. My only complaint is with how they handled Efrafa. In the books, the warren was horribly overpopulated and was miserable for both bucks and does that weren't on the council or Owsla. The does refused to conceive kits because of how crowded the conditions were. In the show they made it out to where the does were just treated like dirt, which did happen; but, still. Also, what was up with that lopeared rabbit? It felt completely unnecessary.

i was pretty excited when i saw the announcement, was a bit put off by the first trailers due to the animation, but all in all i think they pulled it off! ;U ;;
yeah i think they may have simplified the situation for the sake of runtime ;____;

Hey, they needed to keep up the trend of slightly questionable animation ;D After a while, I got used to it. And in all reality, it's not too shabby for the relatively low budget... Well, except for the dog. That dog was hit with the ugly stick.
