I read the Japanese legend of Tanabata, and this is what came out. Watercolor and Sepia Ink.EDIT: I added more trees to the background recently, so this version looks a little strange to me. I'll post the revised version once I get it back (framing for a present).

Ah, Tanabata! I live in Japan, and honestly feel its legends are rather under-represented in fantasy art. Absolutely breathtaking depiction.

Oh, my - your colors are absolutely gorgeous. Your watercolor gradients are masterful - I hate that painty stuff, it's so capricious and difficult to control, but you have done it with such grace, I'm very much in awe.

This is really beautiful! I love the natural tones and the soft colors! The legend of Tanabata is really touching so I love to see this representation of it
