unfortunately the photo doesn't quite match the concept quality-wise (some overexposed parts, a bit low-key)...
oh well, an original idea can't be beaten by a trifle

Yeah, such is the way of having a horrible camera
I'm going to be re-making this one soon, though, I'm planning on ganking a friend's camera and making it SO much better

also, i have a lil' bit of advice if you have do deal with a difficult light situation again. to prevent overexposure you can make two or three shots of exactly the same thing. one has to be underexposed, the other one normal.
then you can merge both pics with a hdr-tool or manually in photoshop - resulting in amazing quality. i can't get enough playing around with this technique since i learned it some time ago, although i don't have photos on DA that are worth being shown (due to a lack of ideas XD)

Oh man, I wish I had seen this like an hour or so ago, I just re-made it and put it up! It's here , if you want to check it out. I got a better camera, and I put my... halves, hahaa, closer to the camera to allow for more detail (and more work, ugh :S), but hopefully it all paid off!
Thanks for the tips... I'm definately going to use them when I do this again!
