Cadence was an old friend of Casey's. Until he was Killed by the Catholic church. Basically the original Story for Casey when he was still meant to be a psychopathic teenager

Y'see, in this new version. His backstory takes place during 2006. Where Casey asks for his help, to rescue his mother, who was accused of being a satanist. Who was captured by the church. The plan failed. In which Casey was forced to flee, while both his only true friend and mother, were tortured for being satanists(absurdly) and soon.... die
