That's due to the temperature-lowering effect of the water.

Thanks!!! someone had mentioned dinosaurs a week back so i just had to try to make a pic with them.. i am thinking about making some more with them. I reall wish they would combine Bryce and Mojoworld, Bryce is so much easier to use, especially where the lighting is cincerned, but mojo has such excellent scenery/terraines...lol..

Truley-Unruly In reply to Casperium [2006-03-22 18:44:03 +0000 UTC]

Wellllllllllllllll I went and looked at some mojo tuts and lol I was lost the UI seems complicated

btw saw servi's wall with your abstract, turned out awesome!!!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to Truley-Unruly [2006-03-22 18:50:59 +0000 UTC]

of course it is complicated,, which is why i use the pre made worlds.. muahahahahahahah there are almost 200 of them at the 3dcommune for free!!! at least that way you can have fun while learning little by little,,, there is a ton of kewl things... but like i ssaid before, Mojo is for scenery, bryce is for closeups and detailed environment where control over lighting is essential.. hopefully they will make it easier as they go along..because many of us mojonauts are also brycers and terrageners, and the designer and his beta testers are too...

Truley-Unruly In reply to Casperium [2006-03-24 08:06:31 +0000 UTC]

pre-made huh damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn do I ever try to do things the compicated way Okay with that known I'll have to go get the demo and install since I'll have some TIME again to explore coming up

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to Truley-Unruly [2006-03-24 17:51:16 +0000 UTC]

Are you getting the MOJOWORLD DEMO or the FREE Mojoworld Viewer? Viewer lets you explore all of the worlds and in most cases has sliders so you can alter the elevation of the water, change the moon position etc and then render some lovely scenes with out having mojoworld pandromeda splashed across it. Only thing you cant do is impoert objects, no trees, and you cant make your own worlds, but it is just fine for exploring and rendering scenes like a lot of mine.. That is OK,,, i usually try to do things the hard way too, until i get slapped up against the head with a 2x4, and then go DUH!..lol.. Mojo is a very expensive toy, especially the PRO which has all the bells and whistles and I couldnt have afforded it if i hadnt won version2 in a contest and got in on the bottom floor for the upgrade at a low low price ( plus pleaded with Doc Mojo himself, lol) who is a realllllllllllllly nice guy btw...lol.. but if i had to buy it again at regular price, i would scrape and scrounge,, it is really worth the fun and great pics.

Truley-Unruly In reply to Casperium [2006-03-26 08:03:44 +0000 UTC]

well hell I was gonna grab the demo but now the other sounds better. Yeah the nice toys usually are expensive lol although bryce I'm amazed isn't higher. Whent he cinema license runs out I'll probably be going SoftImages XSI along with ZBrush.

I love this image. The render is great, the light and shadows are beautifully thinked and the leaves and dinosaurs are very reallistic! Just a comment from a dinosaur-geek, those long necked guys lived in the Jurassic Period, so they were already extint when that big rock hit the Earth... anyway who cares? It's a beautiful image and i love your work keep it up!

Impressive piece. There are still people challenging the orthodox idea and suggesting that homosapiens did live in the time of dinosaurs. I wonder...

Casperium In reply to LotusFire79 [2006-03-20 02:08:47 +0000 UTC]

hmmmmmm well if Nessie the Loch Ness monster is real then we ARE living with the Dinos...lol.. but yeah i know what you mean.... I dont know if I can subscribe to that hypothesis, considering that the earliest human related bones are only 5 million at the most, and Dinos for the most part disappeared 60 million before that... but hey,,,ya never know....... Thanks!!!!!!!
