Please Fave if you download. Thank you!
This is not STOCK!

Sorry if I can't thank you all personally.
Every is a compliment and highly appreciated.

If I could dream,
of what could have been,
had I been real,
and not made of tin.

I wouldn't be a doctor,
a princess or a sage.
My dream would be of dancing
one day upon a stage.

An android that yearns to be human so she can be a ballet dancer.

I thought you HAD Bryce 5.5 already.... doh! Wish I had known.......lol... I am finding it about as stable as ver5. The most stable one was ver4 but of course it didnt have the tree factory.... Anyway have fun!

Oh... that is absolutely brilliant. I really really like it. It's such a neat subject and the dark, empty, dirty corridors and the light above really add a lot. It gives the picture a very lonely feel but that bit of light is just like a little glimmer of hope. It's fantastic. And that is why I'm going to favorite this piece.

There are so many contrasts here, the mind boggles. The gritty, industrial setting vs the "ballarina" (sp?), The polished, almost tool-like body of the android vs. the frilly tutu she's wearng.

Makes me think of the Velveteen Rabbit. I love this one. Makin' it a fav.

omg!! This is gorgeous! Did you create the figure and the ship from scratch? Did you have models available to you? This is very fine work - I can envision a wonderful animation from this piece!!

Very, VERY nice!!

Happy New Year!

Thanks!!!! the models are from daz3d, thank goodness, otherwise I would spend days and days modelling and texturing instead of having fun creating scenes....lol...

you modeled all that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to digitalwiz [2006-01-12 00:39:57 +0000 UTC]

lol No way... I used Daz. But it does entail a lot of works getting all the lighting and everything else to work just right. Thanks!!

digitalwiz In reply to Casperium [2006-01-12 00:42:12 +0000 UTC]

Oh I know 3d and the work it takes thus the question. So what iz dazz?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to digitalwiz [2006-01-12 00:45:52 +0000 UTC]

what? you dont know of daz? daz3d.com is a haven for those of us that can't model.... well I COULD model the ship and all of the stuff in it using Rhino, but the texturing that is the hardest part... Now I am not good at modelling people, so Daz is the best place for those models.

digitalwiz In reply to Casperium [2006-01-12 00:50:08 +0000 UTC]

well I guess I been out of the 3d scene to long. I actually used to be a pretty good modeler. Then I moved to Kauai.

That is really cool, Ali. You have a great imagination. I use Bryce and Daz too. I love them.

Casperium In reply to clwoods [2006-01-12 00:37:49 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Cindi... I use Poser too, but I am trying to learn the DazStudio since it works so well with Bryce. I got this idea about 1am last night and started working on it then...lol.. had to re-render it several times to get the lighting just right...

clwoods In reply to Casperium [2006-01-12 00:48:51 +0000 UTC]

I hear ya on the lighting. I know how shadows fall and all, but am still having a hard time translating that to the program. Tell me, is Poser alot better than Daz?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to clwoods [2006-01-12 00:56:48 +0000 UTC]

Actually poser is great, and depending on what you want to do, it has a lot of features.. but i am discovering that DazStudio is so much easier since it can be taken directly into Bryce and not have to fiddle finding mats and all, plus in DS you dont have to constantly conform everything, it does it automatically. Even though I have used Poser since ver3, and I'm still not that handy in it,, I only use it to pose stuff and then export them out and do all of my lighting and rendering in Bryce or Mojoworld. Same with DazStudio, posing only... Lighting in Bryce is very easy... which is why I love it so much. Been using Bryce since ver3 also.

clwoods In reply to Casperium [2006-01-12 03:19:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I don't get the lighting in Bryce at all. How do you change the color of it? I have changed the little color square that comes up in the line of options when you click on an object in the scene, but it never seems to do anything. Sorry if I am being a pain in the butt.

Casperium In reply to clwoods [2006-01-12 04:44:40 +0000 UTC]

when you do a light, notice the icons next to it, choose the E for edit, that will take you into the lighting department,, you can change the color, the intensity, even use a texture for lighting. As simple as that. Do you have a manual?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

clwoods In reply to Casperium [2006-01-12 12:44:08 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much! You are an Angel. I have read the manual, at least parts of it. Now I will try and do my lighting in Bryce and see if that works better for me.
