Hey while I have your ear or eyes rather, I need some advice. Love yer stuff but I am fairly new to Win Vista and wondered if mayhaps you may have an idea how to stop a glitch I have with my styles themes. I have all the nessacary patches I need to load the themes and even have 'Desk Hack' but everytime I allow Win Vista to Update my PC once or twice a month it resets all my themes back to that Vista aero theme again. Its not too major I got used to it but now its like the point of irritant evertime I see that blasted 'Update Windows' dread. You know like the kind of irritating when you notice a really bad neighnor has driven up the driveway for a visit with all 8 dogs and 12 kids. Got any ideas?

Hi; Sorry I can not help you. I refused to put vista on my computer so I am running WinXP... maybe you could google the problem and see what shows up as fixes.

WHY NO VISTA?
i HAVE VISTA XP WIN7 WIN 98 AND LINUX UBUNTU/KUBUNTU/MINT ON MY PC MOSTON ONE HARD DRIVE. ITS REALLY COOL. OH FIXED PROBLEM BY THE WAY.

I am glad that you found a fix. I did not like Vista because I didn't like the new interface, making it hard to find things. I have since bought a new computer and it has Win7, and it is not too bad. I still prefer the WinXP, easier to find things. etc.

I HAVE EVERY OPERATING SYSTEM MADE SINCE DOS 3.77/WIN 3.0 TO WIN7 AND 5 VERSIONS OF LINUX. I WON'T GIVE UP ANY OF THEM AND USE ALL. THERE ARE 7 ON THIS 1.5 TB HDD ALONE ONE IS XP AND OFCOURSE VISTA. THE THING ABOUT VISTA AND LINUX IS ONLY VISTA LOADS ITS INTIGRADED LOADER SO I CAN USE LINUX AND WIN7 ON ONE DRIVE. WIN7 REFUSES TO COOPERATE. I UNDERSTAND YOUR HATRED I HATED EVERY NEW SYSTEM THAT CAME ALONG UNTIL I LEARNED THEM. EVERY SYSTEM I GET FROM A MANUFACTURER I CRASH AND REFORMAT ON PURPOSE TO LEARN HOW THE OPERATING SYSTEM WORKS. I FINALLY STOPPED GETTING PCS FROM MANUFACTURERS AND STARTED BUILDING MY OWN. TWO THINGS I DESPISED ABOUT VISTA VERSES XP, 1) xp was like a free country and vista like a communist country, with xp i had power over my own PC with vista it was like big brother watching and until i learned about [take ownership] its like MY pc belonged to someone else. I HATE THAT! 2) the whole thing is net geared every part every folder file connected to the net.
BUT I GOT ADJUSTED, YOU KNOW LIKE BEINGWATERBOARDED... EVENTUALLY YOU GET USED TO GETTING WET...
I DID GET BETTER ALL GLASS TASKBAR SKINS AND IT REALLY IS BUEATIFUL AND UNLIKE WIN7 IT PLAYS MY OLDER GAMES GREAT.
