Full View Suggested!I haven't done a Bryce abstract in a long time... lol
Made in Bryce and used some Apophysis fractals in it too. All made by me, no stock.

Beautiful colors and lighting. How much time does something like this take to render? I'm curious

This took about 30 mins to render... however the PS time to create the pic was probably 1 1/2 hours after rendering. Thanks!

Cool... I know a lot of people spend more time post rendering, it was actually the machine time I was curious about. I played around with 3Dmax or something like that and my rendering time was always really long and I have a zippy PC. I'm sure I was doing something wrong.

well at lot of times it depends on the amount of polygons and the kind of materials. I have had renders last 24 hours or more and some only 2 minutes. I use a lot of mirrored surfaces which reflects the objects so it reduces polygon counts. I don't use volumetric very much either. I try to keep it simple and use materials that are shiny yet low on the rendering time. Fast processors are good, but ram goes a long way in reducing time too, but none of that helps if your settings, polygons and radiosity are high.

I had quality set real high and I think my reflections were the issue The projected rendering time was a few days

ahhhhhhh that would do it,,, i think my longest ever was 100 hours, but that was back when my puter was a 450, with a whopping 20 gig HD and 3654mb of ram,, lol

Wow, this is great!
Colors, composition ... awesome.
There are tiny pixelizations on some of the outlines, but otherswise really, really great.
