Interesting use of the planet to block the nebula. Don't think I've ever seen that done before.

Casperium In reply to Aeires [2006-02-27 05:49:01 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Jeffery! It was just something I wanted to try, because that particular sky had no nebula, just the moons... I think it worked out nicely!

Mojoslav [2006-02-22 06:40:13 +0000 UTC]

Nice scene, although I think that the dark solid texture on the big moon makes it look kind of flattened.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to Mojoslav [2006-02-22 07:12:03 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!!! They are the moons from planet Axus ( which is my favorite of course) i wanted the moons a bit flat so the nebula in the background would stand out more.... but I can see where it could be a bit more improved... thanks for the tips!

CaptoAmazo [2006-02-22 05:35:45 +0000 UTC]

man you did an excellent job on that ship, it looks awsome!!! did you make it???

and the terrain looks real, did you make that too???, prolly using terregan im guessing, i wanna be able to make my own terrains, but for not i just have to heavily manipulate photos of exsiting terrain which is kinda a bummer...

some parts of the nebula look overly out there and maybe should be toned down a bit, maybe alittle less stinging in certain spots

the stars look awsome aswell but the sky just below the stars is alittle to much like daylight, it just doesnt really make sense unless you maybe made the change from evening sky to night alittle more subtley and smothly, and the planet just sorta starts half way, a planet that close would realistally show alittle bit in a daytime sky, even if just alittle bit

over all i give it an 8.5/10

mojoworld??? never heard of that, is it just like terregan??

Casperium In reply to CaptoAmazo [2006-02-22 23:09:20 +0000 UTC]

Similar,, however it create a planetary terraine, not just a quadrant like Terragen.. [link]

Guess you know by now that I'm weak for sci-fi scenes, and love this one!!! . Geee...there must be some huge gravitational issues with this huge planet nearby and its moon!! .

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to SergioKodemo [2006-02-21 18:34:02 +0000 UTC]

lol got to keep physics out of this when I make these scenes...lol.. otherwise we would only have a bunch of asteroids..lol.. Thanks!! GLad you liked it!

SergioKodemo In reply to Casperium [2006-02-22 11:49:27 +0000 UTC]

You're welcome! . Wasn't thinking exactly in a bunch of asteroids, but imagine the huge tides!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to SergioKodemo [2006-02-22 18:34:34 +0000 UTC]

well i figured, dry arid planet, no water above ground, no hugh tides...... HOWEVER that would be a fantastic idea for a pic... gigantic tidal surges, tsunami crashing into mountains and giant moons very close by... sigh! my water skills suck,,, would be a heck of a pic....lol

SergioKodemo In reply to Casperium [2006-02-22 19:54:19 +0000 UTC]

Ahhhh...that would be great, major tidal chaos!!!!!!!!!!!! . Too bad my water skills suck too
