Description Sometimes the sands stir,
as if with a life of their own.
A maelstrom of angry winds,
choking the valley below.

Beautiful landscape. I love the stylized terrain and the warm desert colors against the blue sky and soft moon-sickle. Lovely and poetic.

Thanks, Elly........ So how is your holiday season going so far? Done christmas shopping yet?...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ellygator In reply to Casperium [2005-12-06 22:03:38 +0000 UTC]

You're welcome - and not too bad. I really like to spread shopping for presents out. I have a closet set aside as a hide-out and every time I see something I believe someone might like it gets stashed away. So by November I normally do an inventory and just fill in a few gaps. This year somk (DA jewelry artist) helped me out with four magnificent ancient Germanic brooches for all the girls in the family...

At the moment I'm particularly glad I did my homework as I'm stuck in the house with a horrific cold. So I'd not be able to get much done.

How's it looking for you?

Casperium In reply to Ellygator [2005-12-07 18:14:21 +0000 UTC]

yuck,,, bad cold,, hope you feel better soon...... I am like you, I shop all year round and put stuff away for Christmas... but now that kids are out on their own it is kind of hard to keep up on what they would like, so I am runninng almost on empty this year in the gift idea... We kind of already bought our own presents this year,, ( hubby and myself) new living room furniture and big screen TV...lol...

Ellygator In reply to Casperium [2005-12-07 19:47:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the wishes, it's already on the mend I think. And yeah, I can see the dilemma. My brother and father always drive me to distraction 'cause I don't know what to get them. And getting a joint present together like you and your husband did is a great idea, I think.

those peaks are amazing, and now you are going to tell me that they are easily done with Mojo. That craft is the sort of thing I should be building next on my spacecraft level up, did you design it?

I bet..just wish I had the $$$ for it and UF & Bryce, etc......

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Casperium In reply to LyinRyan [2005-12-05 21:21:58 +0000 UTC]

yeah,, it is quite expensive,,,,,,,HOWEVER they do have a free version, Mojo Viewer i think they call it now, you can import worlds and go all over them and render scenes, you can change some things in each world.... You cant make your own world or import models ( i think?) but you can have a ton of fun.. I use mainly the worlds that others make and up for FREE use.( there are a couple of hundred free ones right now).. making my own worlds is kinda out of my reach right now, as I dont know too much about making them,, but I am learning......
So no reason you can't get it.. Bryce4 was free for quite a while, and Bryce5 is not that expensive...... I still want UF4 but I hardly have time to play with the programs I have, much less actually learn how to use UF4...lol..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LyinRyan In reply to Casperium [2005-12-06 13:46:23 +0000 UTC]

I'll have to look into the Mojo viewer then. See what I can do. That's my favorite '4' letter word too..FREE!! lol I'm asking for a few programs from good ol' Saint Nick..so, we'll see what Christmas brings for the good lil' boy Ryan.

I just play on the computer, so I'll find the time to learn. Patience..that's what I need to work on finding. Thanks for the info!!
