Umm what are you going to use to be able to see through the eyes?
I'm working on a fursuit as well and have no idea 0-0

you don't necessarily need to see through the eyes, some see though the mouth or other areas where screens are. what I use most of the time is sheer fabric. It's transparent enough to see though. There are many ways and many things you can use to have a vision and concealment in a costume. Some use mesh, or similar to 'Halloween mask' fabric. And some use canvas.

I have to ask, how does one go about designing simply the paper practice pieces?
I'm making a costume myself, and I want to cut out the foam perfectly like you have. I really don't know where to start for the paper 3D model 8/
Any and all pointers would be wonderful.

Well to be honest nothing is 'perfect'
If you've ever sewn anything the paper is more like a pattern,
and if you're good a puzzles it helps make it come together
and if you took any sculpture like class, it also helps.
The whole thing is constructed on a way of thinking rather then any process or technique
Ever done a 3-D puzzle?. Think of it that way, what will be your foundation,
from there what shape will the jaw be, eyebrow, muzzle, etc.
How thick is the foam your going to use for each area,
Also a good Idea, to think how the mask will look like at all angles.

good luck! im just finishing up my zoroark hoodie and damn is his mane/tail a pain in the ass to draft patterns for and sew x.x but worth it!

I knew I couldn't be the only one planning this! Unfortunately, I have some other costumes to finish before I start another, though.
This is your FIRST suit? Holy schmoly, it's turning out great! My only crit would be that ears are a bit asymmetrical, but other than that, it's totally stellar.

I too have difficulties, I have no $ for the fur for constructing the wig,
sure is :3..thankyou ^^..ah yeah I noticed that was one major flaw but I fixed that and now they are quite more simlar alinement. I'm skining it now, and should update photos but I've had difficulties the last month so we'll see, maybe in June I'll beable to get going on it again.

I am liking the design. I have a feeling it will be looking like the newest pokemon, Zoroark (but I am guessing if this was placed whilst I was looking through the art for Zoroark).
