So I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific today with my family. I've never ever gone with just my whole family (mom, dad, and sister) all together. My grandma was the one that helped this happen so of course she was tagging along <3 I had a pretty cool time there, but one of my favorite things today had to be the seals.

While in the underwater viewing of the seal and sea lion exhibit, my grandmother told me and my sister that the seals are attracted to silly objects like plastic bottle caps and whatnot from outside of the glass. She had witnessed someone doing this before, so she wanted to see if it would work and gave me and my sister a bottle cap. We started dragging it along the bottom of the glass and the seals WERE SO INTERESTED!! THEY KEPT SWIMMING TOWARDS MY HAND AND TRYING TO FOLLOW THE BOTTLE CAP, WIGGLING THEIR CUTE FAT BODIES AND MY HEART MELTED. I knew that was my destiny to create such an adorable character! The seals I encountered were not Harp Seals, however Harp Seals are my favorite seals. I didn't want to make it some generic Harp Seal though because I see too many of those, so I added some freckles and a cute little back marking to make him more unique!!

Cappy the Sailing Harp Seal loves to sail the seas! He also enjoys wearing his little attire <3
