The rocks look really flat and the ocean looks like a flat plain that does not receed back into the horizon. You just need some darker shading. Also the mermaids tail looks deflated. Try to paint the tail as if you were to paint a cylinder, follow the form in round horizontal strokes. It has lots of potential. I hope this helps.

That tilted head and blank stare lends a creepy kind of vibe to her thatΒ captures that "something's wrong" doom feeling that sailors never seem to catch on too. I like the sand texture and the overall muted color scheme, it looks pretty good. Β

a true forms of beauty especially when it comes to this beautiful mermaid! the smile on her face the oceans of body water the wind blowing in her hair thats what all that lining, details, shades, colors, etc. can make out what can be seen as art if you caught my drift yet? lol! but yes this is truly excellent works of art a must to see everyday in a seafood restaurant like red lobster for example!
i applaud for your success in the art life !

She seems to be looking into the middle distance perhaps to a place pain. Her apparent detachment gives her a special dignity, almost a grandeur born of suffering. She draws in empathic feelings. She is charmed.
