Overall

Vision

Originality

Impact

As always you have made an incredible deviation not simply due to the artistic style, but for the writing of Baobab's journal. I do think that this one was only at a loss for the lack of the Gyrados in the background due to the previous entry. I love the fact that you dimly drew the background so as to bring attention completely to the foreground. Over all i give you a 9.8 out of ten and wish to see more of your work in the coming months, and suggest that next you try to do an entry on the before mentioned Gyrados.

If you notice the last sentence and ellipses at the end. It is eluding to the next page. Gyrados

just a question. the back of braviary's plumage is a maroon-like color. that cant be very good camouflage in the forested and mountainous habitat that they live in can it? i am sure if one was perched upon a tall tree that there prey could see them a good distance away on the green trees. do you have an explanation?

Initially, I would think the dual coloration would be related to that of a shark. As in with a shark, they are two-toned. Blue on top, white on the bottom. From above, it is difficult to see the shark in dark blue waters. From below, the white belly blends in with the light from above.

With Braviary, perhaps when looking above the bravery, the reddish hue blends in with the ground below. The blue with he sky above. Also, colors breaking up in different patterns might make it more difficult to see them when they are perched in their nests. Im sure if I sat down and really thought about it, I could make it sound much more convincing.

Pidgeots and staraptors hunt too, and if you consider eating bugs hunting, swellows technically do too.

I didn't want to exclude Pokemon per say ( I mean to list out ALL the birds would be a page in itself) and I would consider eating bugs hunting but I specifically was referring to an experience. A hunt in the sense of when you hear "hunt" it invokes a feeling of danger, thrill, and excitement. In this case, the the large Braviary, watching from above. The ocean thermals blowing. The silent swoop to the surface of the water. The quiet being broken with the splash of the attack. The struggle of keeping the Magikarp held within its talons. The danger of exposing yourself to the maw of a great Gyrados etc. That's the feeling I wanted to convey.

I didn't want to take away from other Pokemon "hunting" but I think the term can be applied differently.

considering the talent you have for bringing realism to pokemon, i'm expecting something truly terrifying for your rendition of gyarados. i can't wait to see how you portray the threat and malice, and i just know it's going to be something special.

It has definitely been fun designing this page. I really hope I don't disappoint. I mean this is a VERY popular and highly requested Pokemon.
