Another shot of Aidan, from the International Wolf Center. Aside from the pups, Aidan was really the focus of my attention this weekend. He is probably the wolf I have photographed the least over the years - I was always distracted by trying to get great shots of Luna when she would look at the camera, or Boltz when he would come down near the windows, or Denali because for a long time he was my favorite. This weekend I realized just how much I under appreciated Aidan's majesty. He's a very handsome wolf!Taken at the International Wolf Center in Ely, MN.

I've never been to the International Wolf Center in Ely. You'll have to educate me about how you photograph there. Are you in with the pack or is this taken through fencing/glass?

Visiting Wolf Park is on my bucket list! I hope to make it there some day.
Pictured is Aidan, who will be turning 9 in April of this year. He is the dominant male in the current ambassador pack, which consists of 5 males. (His littermate Denali, a 4 year old named Boltz, and the two newest additions, 9 months old Axel and Grayson.)
All of my photographs are taken through glass; the center has expansive viewing windows. Auditorium windows. Their enclosure is 1.25 acres with plenty of wooded area where they can get some privacy if they so choose.
Definitely check out their website, www.wolf.org/ for more information. Its a really wonderful educational facility. I believe they actually worked with Wolf Park to create their Ethogram.
