love the mood and tone, it contains emotion that's' rather dark and heavy. I can definitely see a phil hale influence in a lot of your drawing work. lovely job.

The more I look at this piece the more I see the beauty of it. The fact that it is a ripped page from the book and has the footer on the bottom makes the piece. The piece gives off a vibe of displeasure in a failure of some sort. I haven't read or heard of the story before but seeing this piece leaves me curious and makes me want to read it. Fabulous.

Well, you're not missing out on anything, as that book could be put to better use in a fireplace. XD
The drawing is revolved around ones expectations of life, though it bares no 'great' (and no pun intended) significance to the story I'm sorry to say.

I love how the charcoal seems to give it such character and texture
the details in his arms are amazing
