MTG's Serra angel -version heavily based on Mark Zug's, my favourite Serra angel depiction.My first contact with Magic: The Gathering was through the awesome fantasy art. I don't play anymore but still check for the latest expansions just to keep track of many amazing artists.

Amazing I love it. I do have to admit they Mar Zug's was my least favorite depiction (Think it was the helmet I never liked)....Rebecca guays being my favorite even though it was never officially used, but this is really well done.

Ugh, the wtf helmet. It almost looks like an afterthought in Zug's picture, like he was just rendering a samurai helmet and added some fantasy-esque details later. Yeah, that's probably the weakest part of the design. I still love the colors and the distinctive armor, though.

Ah, the Serra Angel. My favorite card when I still played Magic: the Gathering. Very well done, it could go right on a card. ^^
