For those who don't get the reference, in the movie Help! that was based off the song of the same name, Ringo, the drumer for The Beatles, gets a ring from a fan. The ring just so happens to be the hindu sacrificial ring. So all throughout the movie these hindus are chasing The Beatles. They also need to paint Ringo red in order to do the sacrifice, so they brought red paint with them.
