Description
Bio- Possibly the most unlikely Pokemon protagonist since Ash Ketchum. Sarcastic, egotistical, angry at everything and full of himself, Darkrai doesn't even come close to meeting the requirements for a hero, or even a good guy. Then again, maybe that's why I like him so much.

Darkrai insists that one day he'll succed his mom and become God, but he still has a ways to go... as well as competition from Cresselia for the position! Darkrai currently attends Tajiri High with his friends. He insists that he has a "man-skirt", and won't accept anything otherwise!

Darkrai loves to make fun of Pokemon, especially Malispite. His worst enemy is Pikachu, simply because he has the best chance of getting together with his crush Lopunny. Even though Darkrai can be cruel in his comments, he still cares for everyone on the inside.

His full name is Darkrai Kurotsuki Prinzfinsternis

Powers/Abilities:

Ability: Bad Dreams (This Pokemon is able to induce nightmares through close proximity or physical contact.)

Darkrai has the ability to unconsciously draw people and Pokemon into nightmares. This ability is vast, a nightmare can be created from a single touch, or by having him near you while sleeping. Darkrai veiws this ability as a hinderance, and never uses it.

Darkrai, being a dark type, displays the ability to manipulate darkness energy. His signature move is the Dark Void- an attack that can lull opponents to sleep with energy balls of darkness. However, this ability has numerous drawbacks, so Darkrai was able to tweak this (with help from Giratina) to make Dark Void more powerful- by using it to create a minature black hole that sucks up energy based non physical attacks.

Aside from this, Darkrai can use many other moves such as Dark Pulse and Ice Beam. He is able to use Shadow Punch because he has residual genetic information from Arceus, enabling him to learn some Moves that he might otherwise not know. As of yet, the only one in this case has been Shadow Punch.

In battle, Darkrai has displayed incredible energy, almost never tiring out until the battle is over. He is also a very good tactician in fighting- being able to develope complex strategies to subdue his opponent. He mostly uses punching Moves as well as beam based attacks, since his 'legs' are nothing more than extending stilts.

Creation and conception: I'm known for my unlikely characters in my story. Expecially the main character- he/she is never what you would expect.

Back when I was still thinking up Legendary PKMN, I figured I would need a good hero/heroine to be the main character.

My first thought was "I know! I'll do Lucario!"

"BUT WAIT." I thought. "THAT WOULD BE TOO OBVIOUS."

My next guess would to be do my other favorite Pokemon- Scpetile. But that had been done before! And I really wanted it to be a fourth generation Pokemon too.

And then I saw an AMV on Youtube about Darkrai.

"GASP. I know, HE'LL be the star of my new Pokemon series! No one would expect that!"

And then I got to creating The Dark One... but I cancelled it because, it was REALLY REALLY dark. I also cancelled it in favor of Legendary PKMN because it was funnier, and there were more meaningful characters in it.

From the start, I pictured Darkrai to be this sarcastic Pokemon who would go to the side of evil just to gloat in Cresselia's face. Darkrai always goe's by his definition of 'cool', even if it means going against any kind of norm set by society.

But... on the other hand, he still considers his friends to be the upmost importance. He just doesn't show it because it wouldn't be cool to show that he likes his friends.

Differences:
: Darkrai's collar has two squares instead of two points.
: His hair, tail, and shoulder wisps are shorter than normal (partly because he is not fully mature).
: Darkrai has an extra spike under his eye in his hair.
: Darkrai's eyes are lighter.
: His collar is pointy-er.

Speech:

Darkrai speaks in a fairly low ratchety voice. When he speaks, he can sometimes be polite, but is usually sarcastic and insultive.

: Darkrai's eyes have become a lighter shade of blue.
: He has been given appropriate highlights.
: His torso became smaller with the spikes, making him look more like the original darkrai.
