Whats the best pencil to use? and can this be done in ink?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Cataclysm-X In reply to animewizz [2008-04-15 00:46:38 +0000 UTC]
that's up to you to decide I prefer to use HB, B and 2B mechanical pencils for drawing eyes like this.
I never tried ink so I'm note sure...! I guess not because I always blend the pencillines.

Well, I still have problems with making hair to look smooth sometimes. I think more highlights will do the trick.

This will definitely come in handy! I have used this far only two types of pencils in hair: Normal HB and smudgier thicker pencils
Other is to draw lines and other to fill form. But this method is a way better! Thanks - once again

Odd-One-Out In reply to ??? [2008-02-24 21:05:43 +0000 UTC]
I have a question. It seems quite tricky to get highlights in the hair in the finished drawings, so do you use a kneadable eraser for most of the highlights at the end, or do you just happen to draw hair really carefully and not draw on the highlighted bits?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Cataclysm-X In reply to Odd-One-Out [2008-02-24 23:27:18 +0000 UTC]
hmm well that's something I actually explained in the tutorial but...
it depends normally I don't draw those parts of the hair, but sometimes I use a kneaded eraser to make very tight highlights, you know?
