Description
I watch the chimaeras of my timemeeting with the tides of reason.
Once more I hear the bells chime.
Once more they speak of treason.
Devoid of an urge to act, I watch
from a safe distance, yet Iβm scared.
Afraid of their final frozen touch
Afraid that I, too, wonβt be spared.
Breathing fire till their very doom,
until my spirit is outright consumed.
Turned to ashes, engulfed in gloom,
mortally altered, as it was presumed.
Left behind to face a foreign world,
alone and exposed to cruel reality.
How I wish I was a bit more bold,
enough to share their proud fatality.
