Description So, this is it ! I don't have a better title.

I had this idea since a while, and finally, I did it. Since Chirin and the Wolf are from a dark movie, and the others from a heartwarming movie / serie,
I wanted to mix them for the fun.
I wonder what would be of Chirin if he saw some goats and wolves close each others.

So, this drawing is just for the fun. You don't have to take it seriously.

I like the subtle curve of the dark wolf's mouth.Β  He's flummoxed by these smiley wolves who don't behave right!

Intend to do more of this idea?

Yup, but I don't know what. I have some ideas, but I need more practices

Did you know that in the books, Mei was androgynous and NEVER referred to by gender?

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-14 20:28:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I saw that. So, I think we can imagine Mei as we want.

Also, the creator said that he was always intented to be a boy, but he lets it purposefully ambigous to let the readers choose what they want.
As much as I love him, I prefer his female counterpart.

And I heard that Gabu was originally intented to die before the last book came out. But the autor changed his mind. I prefer that,
and it's confirm that they're not dead at the end, as many fans pretend it.

Hell, Mei is a gender neutral name in Japan; right?

I prefer the female Mei too, mainly because she had more development.

Also, in the show, Gabu and Mei are younger than their movie counterparts. Could you tell?

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-14 21:08:48 +0000 UTC]

Yup, we'll say that. It's easier XD

Same ! Because we have 26 episodes to see the personnality develop,
as her relationship with Gabu.

I'm pretty sure that they're younger, especially for May. But for Gabu, even if I'm almost sure he's younger, I don't have clues to prove it.
Do you have some clues ?

Their voices are lighter and Gabu is more emotionally vulnerable (hence his crying many times)...

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-14 21:49:54 +0000 UTC]

You're right. I forgot about his many cries ^^"
Also, it's just a suggest, but while Gabu and Mei from the movie tends more to talk when they're together,
the ones from the serie tends to play with each others a lot.

I know.

Also, they gave Giro a family (a sister named Lolo who gave birth to nephews and nieces for him). Mei also befriends a black goat from a rival goat herd just as Gabu gets a female admirer in Barri's sister. How were those?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-15 21:07:42 +0000 UTC]

Yup, I remember all of them.
I think it's a really good addition in the serie, but unfortunately, they don't have too much screen-time.
We only saw Giro's sister in only one episode,
We see Kuro the black goat in 3 episodes, if I'm not wrong,
And we only see Lala ( Barry' sister ) in some episodes. Too bad.

Sad, I know...

Though I did love the sibling bonds they had with Wii and Boro; did you?

Yes, it was really cute. But I think I prefer Boro than Mii.
Do you imagine them encounter each other, one day ?

He keeps calling Gabu Gabu-ni (which means big brother Gabu).

Yep. It's really cute

I bet Boro and Mii would get along, do you?

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-16 21:10:23 +0000 UTC]

I'm certain ! It would be great ! And if they have to run away too, they could meet again May and Gabu *.*

I hope Gabu and Mei run into Jess and Kuro again, do you?

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-17 12:20:23 +0000 UTC]

I hope too. Especially Jess, since he's traitor too.

He was also the first Gabu and Mei willingly let know of their bond, right?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-17 18:07:15 +0000 UTC]

Exactly ! I never thought about it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Fail-Seeker In reply to CatBoo6 [2017-10-17 20:33:23 +0000 UTC]

It almost felt like it was predicting the reveal of their bond. Hell, Jess asked "How long do you intend to keep this up?" He clearly asked if they intended to keep living in secret.

CatBoo6 In reply to Fail-Seeker [2017-10-17 20:49:11 +0000 UTC]

Yup, and added to that, this episode was just before the final arc ( episodes 22 to 26 )
It was a clever foreshadowing. But now, I wantΒ  more episodes....

By the way what isΒ Chirin No Suzu ( Ringing Bell )? Β

CatBoo6 In reply to msario64 [2017-09-01 23:19:54 +0000 UTC]

Thanks you my friend
I liked too.

Ringing Bell is a story about a lamb named Chirin, who wants to kill the wolf who murdered his mother at any cost.
It's a dark movie ( without blood ), but it stills very good to watch. You van see it on YouTube, with english dub.
If you watch it, I recommand to watch it first, and then to watch Arashi No Yoru Ni.

I guess you could say that it starts out as a lamb version of Bambi but somewhere along the way it segues into Attack on Titan: The Bloodless Edition.

CatBoo6 In reply to Iscreamer1 [2017-09-06 15:01:08 +0000 UTC]

I agree with Bambi, but can you tell me why you think about Attack on Titan, please ?

Iscreamer1 In reply to CatBoo6 [2017-09-07 05:56:01 +0000 UTC]

Because Eren lost his mother too and ended up becoming the very thing he swore to kill. Same thing with Anakin Skywalker.

La grande chèvre, c'est Chirin. Il vient de "Ringing Bell", ( Chirin No Suzu est le titre original ) un bon film, mais un peu bouleversant.
