This is a tribute to Orlando Bloom, since he was my very first celebrity obsession (after watching him as the beautiful elf in 'The Lord of the Rings'

I like the hair and eyes! The hair's texture was spot-on, and the you caught the irises' translucent nature perfectly.
Was the background shading your idea? The darker edges and lighter center draw the viewer's attention towards the center, very nice.

Woo, that is REALLY good. I SUCK at pencil portraits. No matter HOW hard I try, I just cannot get that shading right. And jaw lines hate me, too.

great shading, this is a very very good drawing but although Orlando is recognizable, it doesn't look quite like him, however maybe its just the photo you were working from

That's exactly what my friend said...and then she saw the reference picture, which supposedly looks like the reference pic, which (allegedly) doesn't look a lot like Orlando. Maybe I should put it up for comparison...

Hmm...well, his ear is unusually small (according to the ref. picture) so that might look a bit off. Perhaps I needed to shade it more. *ponders* Thank you for pointing that out.
