Yay. more Toriel art! This one was somewhat inspired by that Mr. Sparkle Simpsons episode.

Anyway, it's Toriel being surprised while bathing. I did this as a loose art trade with SpectrumShift on Fur Affinity.

I'm a real sucker for Art Nouvea, it was a great idea to use it to really jazz-up something as overly-done as a bathroom pin-up scene. You used a very different colour scheme to your previous Toriel pieces; sticking more with blue, yellow and a strong emphasis on pink. It's an interesting change and it looks really nice. The stylised steam, soap and bubbles are really atmospheric and do an excellent job of drawing the eye towards Tori. Speaking of whom, her expression is also well-done and perfectly captures the moment of shock and embarrassment of her towel falling down and being observed. It really makes the viewer feel like they're being intrusive and, of me at least, successfully makes me double-take with shared embarrassment. Which I think shows how much investment your picture draws in. Her anatomy again looks natural and realistic, the right amount of fat and gravity given to her. The pose is very dynamic, with a strong line of action going all the way through. The only thing I could possibly critique is that her leg (the one closest to us) might be a little bit too detached from the hip. I can't help but feel like it should be moved up slightly, but only slightly. I could honestly carry-on forever pointing out everything great about this picture.
Also I've only just noticed that cheeky snail there, hidden on her shoulder. Very cute ^^

Art nouveau is such a wonderful style. I love artists like Alphonse Mucha.
Yeah, I went for warmer color scheme this time, I thought it fit the bath theme better. I've been trying to be more "expressive" with my art so I tried to exaggerate her facial expression in a more cartoon like manner than I usually do. It's something I need to work on~
I did play around with the leg towards the end because it does look detached, I was pretty loose with the anatomy when sketching it. I decided to leave it alone as it kind of broke the sense of movement when I pushed it in and it messed up her center of gravity. I need to be careful of anatomy like that in the sketch phase so It looks right when I'm done.
Can't have a Toriel piece without at least one snail~

You're right! It really does! Funny, since i think a lot of us associate cooler colours with bathrooms. So it was a pleasant change.
Believe me, I know the struggle. I'm hoping to get better at it myself. I also noticed the stylised way you had her fur stand on end in shock.
You've got a point there. It's good to get that sense of movement and play it loose sometimes. After all at least the pose doesn't look stiff. 'Cos that's what I often worry about. So your piece does still have a great liveliness to it.

Yeah, I was really loose with the sketching phase and the legs are a bit detached, I wanted to emphasize her hips but it's out of proportion. That's for the feedback~

Thank you! I've looked at stained glass windows for inspiration in my art before. I want to devote some time to making more background assets like the circles patterns for my art in the future. It's nice to have a set of pre made motifs to use.

Yeah, I hope that lasts, it's so demoralizing to get hate for my art. I'm just glad it started years into my public art career so it didn't scare me away from posting.
I want to start creating more colorful line art like this, it's a bit easier than my full paintings and they stand out well enough. I hope people will like them!
