I drew my custom Avatar from Sonic Forces because I love that Sega added a create your own furry feature! Just what the internet needed, more OC Sonic fan art! Here she is in game!I drew her with a super distracting booty that I'm sure Sonic appreciated when double boosting.
Anybody like the game? It let me put a wolf girl in high heels and skin tight clothes so it's cool in my book! :3

Honestly there wasn't really any "bad" about forces, other than infinites backstory and underused villains. It was just very very average and a bit dissapointing. But I do really hope they bring back the chracter creation in other games.

Honestly the game looks like garbo to me, especially compared to Mania but I have an incredible amount of respect for the character creator, we're currently in a world where cosmetic items like this are sold to us via microtransactions IF we're lucky and they aren't forced into lootboxes. Adding such a cool cosmetic collecting feature to the game and making it all free(especially for a company going through financial trouble) just gives me so much respect for them.

That's a really good point. I have to give Sega respect for not going the micro-transaction or loot box route which they easily could of. None of the customization parts are randomized or anything. Free DLC is nice though none of the DLC would be worth purchasing.

I actually think randomized rewards are cool(it's why lootboxes are so addictive to begin with), just not paid for ones.

I'd love the custom characters return. It made this game a lot more enjoyable for me. I might even grind out the absurd trophies since I played it on PS4. Collect 100,000 rings, defeat 10,000 enemies? Damn, that's a lot.

In my opinion, the only good thing that came out of Sonic Forces was the Game Grumps gameplay of it.

I'm going to need to watch that. I've already seen fan art of "Plurmp Dankenstein McFlurten the Cat, Esquire". I think custom characters may be the best thing to happen to Sonic.

I think everyone was preparing for an influx of OC fan art. It's a good marketing strategy, though. Let you create your own character that you can ship with Sonic or something, fans go nuts, people get annoyed and the game gets more recognition!
I ended up enjoying the custom avatar more than anything else in the game so it worked for me~
